Following on from last year's sell-out success, Dracula, StageFOCUS presents
The Dead House.

Take a journey into Newcastle's dark and murky past...

In the haunted surroundings of Newcastle's medieval Castle Keep, theatre company StageFOCUS presents eight short plays inspired by the Tyneside's blood-stained history.

Follow Cuckoo Jack as he wanders the banks of the Tyne searching for the 200 souls that will release him from his curse; watch Charles Gray dissect a half-dead criminal; join highwaymen Wilkinson and Hetherington for their last meal; hear the tale of the Wallsend witch burned at the stake and witness the fate of poor Miss Amy Fawsitt.

All of the stories are based on historical records and folk tales- told through a mixture of melodrama, physical theatre, gore and gallows humour, The Dead House promises to equally horrify and amuse.
